This year, for its 4th edition, Green IO Paris also speaks French! Alongside the European programme in English and the workshops, a new French-language track, in partnership with Planet Tech'Care, run...

Bring AI and Tech Home: From Dependency to Sustainability

This is the theme responsible technologists will explore together on 2 and 3 December, at CNIT Forest, La Défense. Whether they work in tech (GreenOps, responsible AI, sustainable design…) or in sustainability (procurement, sustainability disclosure, standards and decarbonisation plans), nearly 1,000 professionals from more than 20 countries will meet around four questions:

Silicon and Second Life — How do we reshore chip and hardware production while building repair, reuse and a genuine second life into equipment from the design stage? How do we cut both dependency and e-waste?
Models Without the Detour, With Impact — Can AI be net-positive? Which approaches to inference (sovereign, nearby, with frugal models…) make bringing AI home truly reduce environmental impact, rather than just relocating the GPU bill?
Local Infrastructure and the Energy Dividend — Can we really run models where electricity is least carbon-intensive? What does relocating data centres change for local power grids?
The European Builders of Resilient, Frugal and Fair Tech — How do tech professionals, policymakers and entrepreneurs, from Brussels to local Responsible Tech communities, turn reshoring into practice?

Whether the environment has been your cause for years or Green IT is a recent concern, Green IO Paris sends you home with practical ways to decarbonise your tech stack. Expect candid, respectful conversations among people building tech that serves everyone — building bridges is in Green IO's DNA. One byte at a time.
