Great hopes have been placed in IT and Digital Technologies to support our transition towards a low-carbon economy, but the digital sector itself emits as many greenhouse gases as the world's entire road freight. Let's make sure we clean our own house while helping to make the world a better place!
Thank you Gaël DUEZ for hosting a fantastic conference. I loved participating and as a speaker I was grateful for the warm welcome from the audience. Additionally, I was able to make hugely valuable connections, which will no doubt be helpful to to meet our ambitious Carbon Zero targets at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Can't wait for next year!!
Julie Dennis, CTO (Cambridge University Press & Assessment)“It was a pleasure to participate in the Green IO 2023 forum! In the very technophile setting of the API Days, a great day of acculturation on the climate issues of digital activity. Top-notch speakers to raise awareness, engage the dynamics of eco-responsibility and illustrate concrete initiatives from players in digital, travel or industry. Positive challenge!”
Cyril Casenave, Head Of API & Digital Assets (Club Med)“The Green IO conference in Paris this year was highly appreciated for its practical approaches to digital sustainability, grounded in the real-life experiences and shared insights of development teams and architects.”
Maija Fournier, Platform Architect (OECD)“I’m not new to sustainability, yet I am fairly new to finding like-minded people to talk to about it. My entry points were my local Green Software and GreenSEO meetup groups. So, coming to Green IO, I knew there were some good speakers, but I didn’t know what to expect in terms of vibe. How brilliantly surprised I was! This is not your standard corporate sales-fest; Green IO is the real deal. A conference full of people doing work they care about for the good of the planet – I’ve found my clan and I’ll be back!”
